Lyman's Amish Furniture & Farm Store

Handcrafted fine Amish furniture custom made for every area of your home and yard, Capel Rugs, unique gifts and practical items for everyday life.

Lyman's Farm Store is a family owned business located in Fairfield, ME. In 1998, Tom and Joy purchased West Lynn Farm Store in Winslow, where Tom had worked for many years. Having grown up on a farm and working as a dairy farmer prior to being employed at West Lynn Farm Store, his roots were deeply sunk into the farming community and it was a natural fit.

In 2003, the business moved to its current location and the name was changed to Lyman's Farm Store. Much has changed since those early days and yet much remains the same, including a commitment to offering quality products and service to each customer.

Each step in the furniture building process is important, but capturing and preserving its full beauty with a hardworking varnish is definitely the crowning touch.   Every piece of our furniture is wrapped in two coats of catalytic varnish, including the bottoms of the table tops years of protection for your fine furniture.
Preserving and protecting your American made furniture is important to you and to us.   For that reason, every piece is carefully hand sanded twice during initial construction, once at assembly and a second time at our Quality Control checkpoint.   A stain coat is then applied, and hand rubbed to achieve the best color penetration.   Next, a coat of clear sealant is sprayed on and hand sanded yet again.   Last of all, a clear topcoat is applied using the most environmentally safe materials available today.

The Price Shown is for the Arm Chair built from Oak.  If you are interested in one of these other woods (Brown Maple, Rustic Cherry, Elm, Wormy Maple, and Cherry, Quarter saw Oak or Hickory) please call for Pricing.
For this excellent well-built furniture, please allow for an approximate 8 week build time.
